Lichdenstein

Lichdenstein is a post-collapse civilisation built approximately c. 2300 on the land that was once Luxemburg, after the nation ceased to function as a state. It sits above the entrenched remains of the Curse of Ravana and the fused body of Severin Falkenrath.

History

~2300: Luxemburg collapsed as a functioning state following centuries of progressive environmental damage from extraction attempts targeting the Curse of Ravana energy. Dispersed survivor communities resettled the land, eventually consolidating into what became Lichdenstein.

Lichdenstein developed as a collection of distinct settlements rather than a unified state. Its communities ranged from the diplomatically minded New Cliffhanger to isolated trading towns such as Long Dong Island and Fumble. Despite this, Lichdenstein was not stable in the long term. Its eventual collapse produced refugees — among them Lon’ Lon’ and Sho’t’ Lon’ of Long Dong Island — who scattered in search of new homes, some reaching what would become Frangfurd.
