Okinowa
Okinowa is one of Luxemburg’s primary industrial and logistics centres, situated along the old Lachsenhausen–Luxemburg border and the home of Calcite Industries, Luxemburg’s largest robotic exporter.
History
Okinowa’s border position gave it strategic importance during both the Lachsenhausen and Luxemburg eras. It serves as a major node in the regional trade and distribution network, handling goods moving through the Bellum Castle Trade Route system.
Calcite Industries is the dominant company and the source of the town’s “Calcite” alias.
The ancient temple Old Man’s Consequences is located south of Okinowa.
Notes
Calcite Station — the town’s primary transit hub — was charged with illegal parrot transportation in the 2010s. The case outcome is undocumented, forcing it to focus resources on the mining operations by Neutron NRG.
