Lachsenhausen
Lachsenhausen was the kingdom surrounding Luxemburg, ruled by the House von Lachsenhausen. It was absorbed into the Avari Empire between 1258 and 1264 through economic manipulation and the installation of Leopold von Lachsenhausen and Victor von Lachsenhausen as rulers — a political and economic takeover, not conquest.
History
Under King Aldric of Lachsenhausen, Lachsenhausen was an expansionist state that used engineered instability rather than open warfare to acquire territory. Aldric’s annexation of Fatima in 1228 set the events of the Avari in motion.
Leopold von Lachsenhausen and Victor von Lachsenhausen, frustrated by their father’s methods and limited ambitions, sought partnerships outside the kingdom. This brought them to Glaceus Arena in 1243, where they met Lucien Alvaro de Castillon and Severin Falkenrath.
Following King Aldric of Lachsenhausen’s death in 1251, the kingdom fell under Avari influence. Between 1258 and 1264 it was formally absorbed into the Avari Empire — through the Bellum Castle Trade Route’s economic leverage, manipulated exports, and the brothers’ rulership.
Notes
Geography, culture, and population of Lachsenhausen are undocumented. How did Luxemburg respond to the Fatima annexation at the time?
